Silly question maybe, but is there any performance benefit using saxon 8 (XSLT2) over XSLTC?

Are you saying that XSLT2 will not be in Cocoon unless XSLT2 is a w3c

Linc,

Depending on which rumour you believe it could be another 6 to 12 months
before XSLT 2.0 is finalised i.e. reaches Recommendation status at the W3C..

Cheers. I will install Saxon 8.

In M.Kay's xlst2 book it says that at time of print only saxon8 supports
xslt2. I also found out that "XSLTC is included in the Cocoon
distribution".
So I guess my next question is:
When will cocoon distribute with a xslt2 processor?

...The only available Java+SAX one at the moment is Saxon 8 - which
works
just fine in Cocoon (I use it in production)...
