I know it's not very generic, but in this case i would just define a few different labels like A1, A2 etc and put them on the generator declaration in your pipeline.
Alternatively, enable profiling [1] for your sitemap. The profiler comes with drill-down functionality, you can actually see how long it took to process a particular step and also what the outcome was (all within the HTML page!).
