Blogging is about free speech and if you wanted a thought dump of someone who's used to working with frameworks and such like then my blog was a pretty accurate description of how I felt during my first few days using it. A few weeks down the line and although I think there's an imbalance between idealology and reality (for example , I developed an application using cocoon that would have taken 3 months with anyother framework in 1 evening, I recommend cocoon to all my clients because its the best rapid application development platform in existence etc etc).
Despite my reservations that remain, I'm stuck with it for the time being. I had no idea my blog would attract such a broad audience, and as a consequence I pulled it when i was it came up on the list. I've started directing my energies in a more constructive direction, although I could have done with being able to become a cocoon user without needing to delve into source code in the first few weeks. But thats the way it is and thats what i'll have to live with. The changes in 2.2 look promising, although I've little chance of being able to move over to that, despite that it seems that working against the CVS version would be no more risky than working again what are termed as stable releases. I've pulled the blog at the risk of being offensive to anyone, but I have doubts about this on that day at that time. Better to compromise personal ethics on freedom of speech rather than offend anyone.
