But actually, it would be nicer if you could use the i18n transformer. You generate html that contains i18n placeholders for all language-dependent strings or values and use the i18n transformer to replace them, passing the language parameter 'de' or 'en' (or other) to the i18n to select the proper replacements..

i have i18n to translate my links. Is it recommended for translating larger text elements (1 or 2 paper-pages i guess)?

Definitly! Thank you very much! I knew my problem is not so hard to solve. It's difficult to work with a new technology. I guess a
"best practices" or "cocoon design patterns" in the wiki would be
a very, very GREAT element!
I hope i get strong enough soon to contribute something to this.
