as you can see at http://www.htmlarea.com/ HtmlArea 2 and 3 have been discontinued.
What will be the next step for CForms's HTMLArea widget? will be continue supported from cocoon community or an alternative WYSIWYG control will be used?
Drupal's community discuss to move to TinyMCE http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/index.php
The license is not compatible with ASL.
http://www.fckeditor.net/ looks promising although it does not define no license at all
