Try to get Cocoon from SVN if the snapshots don't work. I will have a

Could it be that the daily snapshots are still built from CVS? If it
is not possible to switch to SVN we should stop building that
snapshots to avoid confusion.
I have installed SVN on my Solaris box. Where do I checkout the
latest cocoon? I can only find releases, e.g.
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/cocoon/tags/RELEASE_2_1_7/
Try the 2.1.8-dev:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/cocoon/branches/BRANCH_2_1_X
