Unfortunatly, i've passed my deadline on this. I solved the problem
the hard way: i wrote the specific FO code for the rtf page i needed.
I may only wonder if i could without much pain generate XSL-FO from the FO
file i've created...

I was offline for the last ten days, sorry. If you're still after this
problem, please let me know and I'll reply to your question on the jfor-users
lists. Usually such problems are dependent on the structure of the input
XSL-FO document, you might want to compare yours with a similar one from the
jfor samples.
