Agreed - remember namespaces throughout!  If
in doubt, suggest you do some reading around XSLT;
there are lots of good resources/books on the 'net and
its well worth the time to learn, if you plan on working
with XML in any shape or form.
 
Also; you can look at using Cocoon Views to get
intermediate outputs (eg. from the SQL transformer);
again; various articles and discussions on this topic. eg.

I do not exactly know what you are asking here, shouldn't you just read some documentation about cocoon stuff?

Anyway, if you are familiar with xsl, and you try to transform your results form the sqltransformer, do not forget the sql namespace.

For example : <xsl:value-of select="/sqlpart/sql:rowset/sql:row/sql:thisfield"/>

Probably you forgot the namespace
