I am trying to get cocoon 2.1.8 to work on my machine (winxp pro, tomcat
5.0.28) which also runs a cocoon version 2.1.7.
I have edited the local.build.properties and local.blocks.properties
respectively in order to exclude certain blocks I do not need. mainly I
want to build a portal website with cocoon and that used to work with
version 2.1.7. since I was having a few problems with CForms I thought
maybe I should update my cocoon version. now, when I open the start page
of cocoon in my tomcat webapps directory (I installed it into a
different one than the other version, since I wanted to keep the old one
for troubles like this) everything seems fine. trouble is, that I cannot
open the portal-block sample page. when I access that page via the
"samples->blocks with samples->portal block" links, I get an error 500
and the exception-page tells me this:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
javax.xml.transform.dom.DOMResult.getNextSibling()Lorg/w3c/dom/Node;
does anyone know the cause of this?
same goes for the blocks
