Recently, I've worked on a mini CMS/blog that I called "bloon". You can test it here http://www.object-everywhere.com/bloon/, but it is in french. In bloon you two main page : - the "documents" page where you create/edit/delete your XML files (each entry is an XML file) - the "blog" page (the "billets" page in french) where we aggregate all the content of the XML files.
To update content you use a text area where you can add html constructions. Now, I'm working on an integration of bloon with the FCKeditor (http://www.fckeditor.net/). This powerful editor has a certain number of connectors (php, jsp, etc.) and I finally decide to make my own Cocoon connector. This includes the possibility to update file to the server. This work is practically terminated. Tell me if you want the source of "Bloon". I hear what you say; but I really do not want to download, install and learn an entire CMS just to add some small function to an existing website... maybe no one else has a need for this - in which case I will obviously have to do the work myself, but its always worth asking first ;-) >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2006/01/23 04:35 PM >>> Derek Hohls wrote: > Hi > > Has anyone thought about, or experimented, with a Simple Page Editor > (SPE) for Cocoon? > > I am not looking for a complex CMS solution - just a simple facility > whereby users can edit a page, or upload a new one? > > Each page would have to have: > * unique name > * selection of appropriate "section" (drop down list) > * page title > * page contents > users would be logged in, so it would be useful to add-on to the end > of the page, who was the last to edit and when. > > I am assuming a forms/flowscript approach would work... > although data is stored in flatfiles (not beans or a database) > > If anyone has implemented such a system, I would like to hear about > it... might also be a good sample app to put out with Cocoon. > > Thanks > Derek > > PS No, I do not want a wiki system; I assume the contents section will > have an "toolbar" for users to format the content. > Don't know how "simple" you require, but Lenya (http://lenya.apache.org/) is a CMS built on Cocoon that does everything you listed and more. A barebones system like you described is definitely possible, but I'm guessing you'll be hard-pressed to find a developer who wants to spend the time building one when something like Lenya which already works well exists. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- This message is subject to the CSIR's copyright, terms and conditions and e-mail legal notice.
