Hi Amon,
I'm not really sure what you are trying to achieve here, but if you want
cocoon forms to select an initial value, it's best to load that value in
to the form object. That should do the trick.
Kind regards,

Best users,
Is there are way to add my own attribute to the fd:item element, let say
selected="selected" , which i can use in my xslt?
<fd:selection-list xmlns:fd="http://apache.org/cocoon/forms/1.0#definition">
<fd:item value="13020711"/>
<fd:item value="19120623" />
<fd:item value="19690721" />
<fd:item value="19700506"/>
<fd:item value="19781014" />
<fd:item value="20010911" />
</fd:selection-list>
Thanks in advance,
Amon
