I am Andrew Wilcox, Director of Technology with The Content Management Professionals Association (CMPros). CMPros is looking for speakers for the upcoming conference in San Francisco on Jun 17th. (http://summit.cmprofessionals.org) This year's conference deals with the dynamic delivery of content across multiple media. Some of the topics include real world uses of Web 2.0, Rich Internet Applications, Social Networking and Content Re-use. We are looking for leaders in this area to come and speak at the conference. Specifically, I am looking for both technical and business users who have deployed applications that re-use content across multiple delivery channels.
This degree of content re-use is the utopia of all CMS implementations; create once, use anywhere. Simplistic in theory, yet complex in reality. This topic will examine the real world issues surrounding content re-use and publishing, including in rich media. Business track ideas could include a look at the case for single source publishing, how to structure your data for re-use, or a look at the workflow implications with re-use. The Technical track could examine the technologies that support content re-use like DITA, software or frameworks for the delivery of content in multiple formats, or best practices for managing data bound for multiple formats. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information. I'm sure this would be a valuable promotional avenue for you and your firm. Sincerely, Andrew Wilcox
