Of course now I can't make the problem happen. I've gone from 1.7.0-PREVIEW from a week ago (where the issue was occurring) to -HEAD from this past Friday where I've been unable to trigger the problem for a couple of days. I've got a "watcher" script looking for the problem to manifest and take a snapshot; I'll keep it running and will either report findings after it occurs or will just chalk it up to "that's weird".
