Except the C++ iostreams library (which is part of STL <sigh>). It requires knowledge about the internals of stdin/stdout to perform synchronization properly.
STLPort was a blessing back in the days when everyone shipped a slightly different STL implementation which didn't conform in strange ways -- g++ 2.x was probably the worst offender.
