Note that parted does not work with NTFS, which is the most likely existing filesystem a prospective DragonFly user will have. However, ntfsprogs (which can handle resizing) apparently does compile and work on FreeBSD. Someone who's interested can try it on DragonFly.
Also, GUI front-ends to parted like qtparted can use ntfsprogs to handle NTFS. Rahul
