:I'm wondering if that's a typo -- do you mean cleartext passwords?
Cleartext passwords can wind up in a kernel core, but do not typically
do so. Encrypted passwords, e.g. portions of /etc/passwd, do often
wind up in a kernel core. Also SSH private keys can wind up in a kernel
core.
