If your laptop has the same ethernet chip as my Eee 901 then you'll need ale(4) IIRC. I said I'd try a port it from FreeBSD[1] but I don't have the time nor experience to achieve this at the moment. I'm surprised the wireless doesn't work... It's a RT2860 right?
