two annotated tags to replace v2.5.1

Hi:

The git repository has two annotated tags
 v2.6.0
 v2.7.0
which replace v2.5.1 .

The commit log/email for both the tags is identical.

Can the experienced folks share the rationale behind having two 
annotated tags ?
