Don't even need 2 VMs, 2 repositories one with 2.4 and one with 2.6 would be sufficient because they will end up in 2 different objdirs. Actually that is how I am keeping my lame VIA C7 box up to date. I just mount the repo and the objdir via NFS on the C7.
