NanoBSD is a nifty shell script that allows you to create and customize a very 
tiny bootable FreeBSD image. People use it on routers and other single purpose 
machines, but I believe you can make it into pretty much anything you like.  

This could be an interesting project, especially considering that the DragonFly 
liveCD is already a complete system, it may provide a nice vantage point. I'd 
love to run DragonFly on my router :)
