Could you check whether your BIOS has "legacy usb disk" support?  If
it is on, please try turning it off.

Thanks for replying, I disabled "legacy usb" within the BIOS, my system still hangs. I guess, I will need to continue using the button to turn off the unit, or move the OS
    to another unit.
