I am sorry, that there was a typo. The XML fragment actually looks like this:

<xs:complexType name="ArrayOfString">
        <xs:annotation>
                <xs:appinfo>
                        <jaxb:property collectionType="indexed" />
                </xs:appinfo>
                <xs:documentation>An object for holding a String
array.</xs:documentation>
        </xs:annotation>
        <xs:sequence>
          <xs:element form="qualified" maxOccurs="unbounded" name="String"
type="xs:string" />
        </xs:sequence>
      </xs:complexType>

"<jaxb:property collectionType="indexed" /> " was not in the documentation.
I read about it at
(http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg04004.html)
