This looks like a Jettison problem. Note that Jettison 1.0.1 has been released (with a bunch of bugs fixed) and the parent pom will
be updated to pull this newer version in. You may want to try to this version too in meantime and see if it fixes this problem...

Hi,
I have a problem. When I serialize collections containing more than one
object to JSON objects, the JSON object contains an array. However, when the
collection contains only one object, then the resulting JSON object is not
an array. How can this problem be overcome such that the resulting JSON
object is always an array regardless of the number of items in the
collection. Please let me know.
