I also use IntelliJ and found it very easy to use CXF with it. You just need to create a new project (Idea 7 or 8) with Web Services support for Glassfish / JAX-WS 2.0 / Metro.
In IntelliJ 8 they also added SoapUI which can generate stubs for Axis, XFire, and also CXF. If it only had a good WSDL and XML schema editor like Netbeans!
