Ok, so I checked the server logs with the first error that I got(the error
verifying security) and there are 2 exceptions being thrown.

The first one gives a message of "The
'http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-username-token-profile-1.0#PasswordDigest'
username token has an unsupported password type."
