I agree that out of the set(s) of logo's provided, there may not be one that appropriately connects with CXF's target audience.
However, the vast majority of open-source efforts have some sort of branding, as minor as it may be... so in regards to your latter comment, I respectfully disagree. I am not a graphic artist though, so I can't help with the endeavor. ...it was just food for thought.
