CXF client startup time

Has anyone looked into the latency of spinning up a JAX-WS + JAX-B
client lately? Even with no WSDL reading, we're finding it measured in
seconds. One of my coworkers is worried about this because it turns
into a UI latency in some cases. Yes, he could hide the cost under an
initial splash screen or something, but I wondered if there was
anything we're missing here.
