Thanks Daniel, we have tried that one and it appears not to work. Not sure about the lifecycle of the PropertyPlaceholderContext, whether the properties aren't available by the time the endpoint is configured. But the sample below always defaults to our ApiStub, even if we set a System property fooService.sib=Api.
Our goal is to have a properties file for our 30+ web service endpoints where we can flip which ones we stub out in certain environments and which ones are live web service endpoints. I will test out and see if there are any other ways.
