I was able to deploy the war successfully in Tomcat by making the following changes:
1) Remove the cxf-rt-transports-http-jetty dependency 2) Change the port name in the WSDL from "localhost" to "MathServiceProvider" 3) Change the fault name in the types section of the WSDL to "MathFault" Colm.
