If all you are interested in is logging, then you could just implement: org.apache.cxf.logging.FaultListener and register an instance of that on the bus or client with the key FaultListener.class.getName(). That would get called from the interceptor chain where we log it and you can log it however you want and either return true or false depending on if you want the default CXF logging to also be performed.
