The latest release version of CXF (2.6.1 now) is the most stable; to
increase stability, I've never seen us recommend older versions of CXF
for any JEE server. You're still OK with JDK 5 but it will not be
supported in the next version (2.7) of Apache CXF, which will be out
probably around the end of this year.
