IIRC the upcoming CXF 2.7 will be using Spring 3.0.7, I don't think 
anyone's tested it with later versions.  In many cases you can use CXF 
without Spring (I would search the mail archives on Nabble); if you can 
do that then it won't matter what version of Spring you're using for the 
rest of your system.
