You may need to debug and see what is happening; IMHO this is not a CXF issue and as I already recommended - try experimenting with CXF JAASLoginInterceptor:

This is not something we can manage at CXF level, however may be we can
add a Jackson JAXB provider wrapper which will offer the same level of
JAXB-specific customizations that Jettison can, but it is not a high
priority issue for now...
