I'd recommend you to create a test which submits this sequence directly to JacksonJsonPrivider (and JacksonJaxbJsonProvider), bypassing CXF completely and attach it to Jackson JIRA; If I knew the answer I'd obviously share it :-), but I don't, sorry can't be help, so going this route will probably be most effective. I'd still be very surprised if Jackson were not able to read it - please double check their forums, and attach a test project to their JIRA
