I guess that much depends on how the actual HTTP client connection is implemented and possibly on whether the chunked encoding is enabled or not.
Why exactly are you asking ?
Also, the loggingCallback is called onClose(), is the logging done before the message is written/sent to the destination. We are using CXF 2.6.1 for JAX-RS.
