I've had a look. I'm not sure why the continuation is not visible, it is
is something to do with the Jetty 6 Maven plugin.
I suspect that Jetty 6 may not implement Servlet3 but you run your
application as a war (we do have a test for this scenario but using the
newer Jetty), as opposed as a standalone Jetty-based application (we do
have a test for this scenario too).
Try running the example with the newer Jetty version, 8+. And update the
jetty Maven plugin accordingly. May be even run it as 'mjetty run-war.
