Hi Folks,

I seek your comments on this way of viewing the world.

In the bullets below I use the term "language." I do not mean English or
Spanish or some other Natural language. Rather, I mean something that is
formal, precise, with a prescribed syntax and meaning. Something that a
computer can process.

- XML Schema is a language for describing XML instances.

- JSON Schema is a language for describing JSON instances.

- DFDL is a language for describing instances of non-recursive text and binary
data formats.

Do you agree with that list? Is there something you would add/modify to that
list?

I am fascinated by the idea of a language "describing" things. Wicked cool.

/Roger
