Hi Alex, About this data loss problem with MySQL MEDIUMTEXT fields, I am afraid we didn't get too many reactions :-)
I wished to add the following precisions : - The form can be "hand made" : no need to use the form wizard. - The MAX TEXT LENGTH can be set to -1 or any big value (20000 for example) : same data loss ! > I can enter a record of the length I desire and then reread the data from > the form. > The problem occurs when I want to change the data in that record and > then save the modified text in the database. The text gets truncated to > 2049 characters. Tony G. reproduced this problem with : Win NT; OOo 1.1.4; MyOBDC 3.51.9 I have the problem with : SuSE 9.2; OOo 1.1.4; MyODBC 3.51.7 Don't you think it could be ok to file a bug report ? I could do it myself ....... or let you do it in correct english :-) (it may have been filed already, but I didn't find anything) Cheers !
