Without saying anything about this concrete feature, and though this might sounds harsh: If we would implement every feature which two people are waiting for, we would have work for a dozen of people for several years. Again, this does not say about the concrete issue 50960, I just wanted to point that saying things like "x people are waiting for this" (with an undertone of "doesn't this justify implementing it?") doesn't really change anything ....
