Hi Frank,
I'm glad that to you can confirm my problem! Thank you for testing!
With the subform I experienced problems when I entered data. When I
remember right, in a new dataset I had to first entry data into to the
main form and after I had to first navigate to another dataset and back
to be able to enter data into the subform. Also I think to remember
that sometimes the then entried data in the subform has first been
saved after a second or third attempt. I don't know whether you know
about these kinds of unreliabilities already. If not I can of course
try to replicate the problem. Everything I have tried with the embedded
HSQLDB.
Best regards

Hi Helge,
When I set the content of my form to SQL I can edit and create table
entries without problems as long as I just select one table. With a
relational selection (I need an 1 to 1 relation withthe primary keys
in
both tables) it's not anymore possible to create and edit entries. I
wanted to ask whether there is a possibilty to have a editable SQL
based
content in a form which gets the data from two tables with unique
defined datasets? The subform function doesn't work very reliable (of
course it's beta) and it also complicates macro querys on the form
content. I would like to be able to just reload the form by macro,
just
changing the SQL statement for the form content
Though the code suggests we should be able to update queries across two
tables, as long as all primary keys and/or unique index columns and
entry-required columns a re present - I just tried, and it seems it
doesn't work. Hmm.
What is it that does not work with sub forms?
Ciao
Frank
