I was under the impression from earler versions (pre-1.9.110) that you had to register the databases if they moved. However, on testing out 1.9.118 with a client, you can double-click to open a database file and it does not need registering. We also moved the database file to a different location and opened it via both double-click and File -> Open without having to register it. We then did the same by renaming it to something completely different with same results. This leads me to ask the question why do we have the Tools -> Options are for defining database files? Is it used any more? How is it meant to make things easier or more structured when working with databases?
