Dear OOo Base team, I have an issue with OO Base that seems to be familiar. I read some of the postings in the last weeks here and experienced some of the same errors. Maybe I can add a few details that help to solve the issues. I have created a small database with HSQLDB and its Manager application running HSQLDB in Server mode. It works just fine, when I connect with the Manager application. I can insert data, modify tables and so on. Then I tried to use Base to connect to the database. It works fine as well. I see all the tables and also all the data in it, but 1. I cannot modify the table structure (same issue that Kevin James has) 2. I cannot insert or modify any data. It seems the whole database is in read only mode.
I have played around a bit with Base and it seems it's the same with all databases that are not directly created with Base. As soon as I start a new database in Base and create a primary key (I have followed you discussion on that topic), everything works fine and I can both insert data and modify table structure. I've looked at the JDBC connection dialogs but I could not find a "read only" setting. Thanks in advance for your help. Regards René P.S. enclosed I added my sample database. It doesn't make a difference wether the tables are cached or memory. I've tested that.
