Hi Joep
I hope I understand your problem in a right way and the following steps
can help:
1. Start Base
2. In the first step of the wizard choose "Connect to an existing
database" (e.g. in your case 'spreadsheet')
3. in the "Browse"-dialogue choose your spreadsheet-file in the
directory where do you saved your spreadsheet, then click "Next"
4. the otions in step 3 are ok, click 'next', your spreadsheet is now a
available datasource in ooo (read-only! to make it writable, pick the
table and copy it in a HSQL-Database (e.g. per Drag'n'Drop')
