I agree with Mechtilde's question : things would be a lot easier with all of the tables in one db. That way, you could query across tables and get the kind of representation that you are looking for. I don't see how you are going to be able to query across multiple dbs in OOo. I know this is possible with some db software, but your db really should be self-sufficient, i.e. contain at least all of the basic data, optimally subdivided into relational tables, that you want to manipulate. Of course, there may be some special reason why you don't want to / can't do it this way, but it would definitely make your life easier.
