I noticed your post to the e-list regarding mdbtools. I have had it installed for some time on my Ubuntu-64 Breezy computer (version 0.599.0.6pre1.0.20, plus the -dev files and the -gmdb files). However, while I can get OO.o Writer to see the .mdb database file, when I try to look at a table I get an error message "The connection to the data source 'filename.mdb' could not be established. The connection to the external data source could not be established. An unknown error occurred. The driver is probably defective." There is a "More" button and when I click on it I get a popup window listing "Information," "Error," and Information" (again). They list, respectively: 1) the same error message as above, 2) "SQL Status: S1000" followed by the same error message as above and, 3) "Jdbc:". Perhaps that will help pinpoint what I am doing wrong.
I have the database in two versions, Access97 and Access2003. I get the same identical error messages with both versions. Any suggestions welcome. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
