Hi,
resulting from discussions here in this list and in the iTeam (the team
responsible for creating a new feature in OOo), a new (still
preliminary) version of the "Queries in Queries" specification is
available at http://dba.openoffice.org/specifications/index.html.

Frank,
Another question - a point of clarification perhaps. The document speaks
of this feature being available, at least in the first implementation,
only for the embedded database engine HSQL.
Line 16 "This is implemented for OpenOffice.org's default database
engine, HSQLDB, with the option to support other back-ends in the future."
Now, Base includes a series of programming specifications that allows
other database engines to be integrated into an ODB file, the same way
as HSQL is today. If I am not mistaken there is already folks working on
doing just this with JavaDB, and perhaps SQLite. So in this
specification is it actually referring to HSQL specifically or to any
engine that is so inegrated?
