Hello, I havn`t worked with databases any time before...
My problem: I installed OO 2.0 (german edition), PostgreSQL 8.1 for Windows and added the ODBC driver (psqlODBC). I then initialized a database within Postgres and OO can get a connection to this database. Now I want to use OO as a user interface for my postgres database to start with fields and data. So I tried one of the database templates OO is offering. I can add data. I can print reports. I can save database.odb. But when I`m closing and restarting OO and database.odb, all my data is gone. And it seems, that nothing has changed within Postgres all the time. I also tried the JDBC-driver, same behavior.
So I think I make some fundamental mistakes. Any hints? Thanks a lot.
