Hello Deki,

I don't think it's "ready for shipment", i.e. for inclusion into
OOo as *the* example database, but it can surely be used for
inspiration, at the very least.

I know - I've not made it with such possibility in mind ;-) .

I am not so sure that I agree with your and Frank's assessment about this. In a way this is exactly one of the types of database that is needed. It is simple and concise, does one thing, for one person. The reporting is possible with the wizard and parameterized queries alone.

There are concepts here that can be exponded upon. For example - you use lookup table(s) to limit entry to some fiels - so what happens when a new value needs to be added. Some people ( *blush* ) would automatically fall back on some elaborate macro to make that happen - but the truth is you can also tell the user to 1 - Hit F4 ( remember when opening the beamer for an embedded form - only THIS database is listed )
2 - Select the lookup table in question
3 - Add you new value
4 - Hit F4 ( close the beamer)
5 - refresh the form

For a great many people that later is what they need to know.

So - this would not be THE example database, but it ( or something like it ) may well be suited to being ONE of the example databases.

Drew
