Sorry for posting here on users, but could anyone confirm / infirm Issue 66123 ? You need to try and access a remote mysql server on a linux machine, from a MacOSX PPC machine using the 3.1.12 or 5.03 JDBC connectors available from mysql, and then try using the mailmerge wizard available in the Tools menu. You can try this with either OOo 2.0.3 rc7 or m178 and report back.
