i am trying to be more detailed but that is basically what i did. i opened a
new database using your database called base...then i looked at the create
using wizard function, i decided to use this function to create my first
table...that table works fine with me added data, etc. then i created my
second table..using your design view or the view where it gives u an empty
list to enter in the field names...datatype..and comments in this part you
are able to create the primary key and at the bottom of the screen you can
specify things like contrants and not null values allowed.

Hello Natalie,
I'm answering your mail in [email protected], our project's
mailing list. Please also reply to this list, instead of to me
personally - this is a matter of scaling (more people than me could
answer) and a matter of sharing knowledge (more people than you could
benefit from the answer(s)).
You can subscribe to this list at

via news.gmane.org as newsgroup gmane.comp.openoffice.dba.user. Thanks.

There's to little information here ... What database type do you use?
What's the structure of the 2nd table? What do you mean with "design
view" (there is a design view, but you cannot enter data it in, so I
assume you mean something different).
So, please describe in more detail what you're doing, to help to
reproduce your problem.
Thanks & Ciao
Frank
